Ingredients

Turkey Filling

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey 93% lean preferred
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper to taste

Taco Assembly

  • 8 small taco shells soft or hard
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  • Stir in chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Warm taco shells according to package instructions.
  • Assemble tacos by filling shells with turkey mixture, lettuce, tomatoes, and shredded cheese.

Notes

For extra flavor, top with sour cream, salsa, or avocado slices!
