Ingredients
2ahi tuna steaksabout 6 oz each
2tbspsoy sauce
1tbspsesame oil
1tbspolive oil
1tspgrated ginger
1garlic cloveminced
½tspblack pepper
½tspsesame seedsoptional
Instructions
Pat the ahi tuna steaks dry with a paper towel.
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, garlic, and black pepper.
Marinate the tuna steaks in the mixture for about 10 minutes.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat.
Sear the tuna for about 1 minute per side (or until the edges are golden but the center remains rare).
Remove from heat, slice thinly, and garnish with sesame seeds.
